No Late Participants - Door Closes At Start Time

  • Not giving yourself enough time to choose the right equipment and missing the Demo could lead to hurting yourself

  • Someone coming in late while the coach is trying to lead class is distracting for both the coach & other members

  • All of it ties back to us wanting to provide you with a quality experience and reduce things that prevent us from giving you the best class!

No Shows / Late Cancels

  • Late Cancel is 0-8 hours before class starts

  • No Shows/Late Cancels are subject to the below penalties:

    • Trials: $15 Fee

    • 4xMo-12xMo Memberships: Lose A Class

    • Unlimited Memberships: $15 Fee

    • Drop-ins/Punchcards: Lose The Class

Waitlists

  • You will be emailed if you get off of the waitlist (text notifications are not supported yet)

  • Waitlists will stop updating 1 hour before class starts. If a spot opens up within 1 hour of class start time, you will need to manually book it yourself

  • Please make sure to look! If you don't want to lose your credit, take yourself off the waitlist if you don't think you can make it

  • No Show/Late Cancel penalties will still apply

Pets & Children

  • Pets are not allowed inside the studio, with the exception of service animals

  • Well-behaved children (and parents) are welcome to sit on our bench near reception during class. Please make sure they are wearing headphones if using electronics

Guest Passes

  • You can book your guest through the IBX Fitness app using your guest credits

  • Book the class/spot like you would for yourself, and you should see an option to book for your guest, rather than yourself

  • If they late cancel or no-show, you will lose your guest pass credit

Additional Classes

  • Can be purchased at the class rate for your membership  by emailing: info@ibxfitness.com

Membership Switches

  • To Upgrade/Downgrade Memberships members must send an email to info@ibxfitness.com at least 7 days before the month you want to switch memberships

  • Perfect option for months when you are traveling!

  • NOTE: not applicable your first 3 months

Membership Pause

  • All Members must submit the Pause Form at least 7 days before the month you want to Pause

  • You get 30 days to pause for free each calendar year. Any pause after that is $50/pause.

  • NOTE: not applicable your first 3 months

Use Clean, Proper Shoes

  • Please make sure you use a clean pair of shoes in our studio and avoid shoes you use for trails, beach walks, gardening, outdoor sports, etc.

  • Use the proper shoes to get the most out of your IBX workout. We recommend cross-trainers (vivo barefoots, Nike Metcon Free, Reebok Nanos, NoBull) just to name a few

Membership Cancellations

  • All members must submit the Cancellation Form with a 30-day notice

  • NOTE: Must still complete initial 3-month minimum comittment

Leaving Class Early

  • If you need to leave more than 5 minutes early, please reschedule and pick a different class to avoid disruption

  • If you need to leave 5 minutes early, please let the coach know BEFORE class starts

  • Leave your equipment in your workout box, and quietly collect your belongings and depart to avoid class disruption

  • 510-853-8933 will reach all IBX Staff. Staff is available 9am-5pm M-F. While we will aim to get back to you ASAP, please allow up to 24 hours for a response

  • No they do not! They are a perk for being a monthly member at IBX :)

  • 2 weeks in advance to the hour. Meaning if you want to book the Tue 12pm class 2 weeks away, you need to wait until 12pm on the Tue 2 weeks before.

  • Once a class is full, you can be added to the waitlist.

    1. If you're on the waitlist, and a spot opens up, as long as it is earlier than 1 hour before the class starts, you WILL be automatically added in.

      1. For example, if a spot opens up at 4pm for the 5:20pm class, and you're at the top of the waitlist, you'll be added automatically

    2. If you're on the waitlist, and a spot opens up less than 1 hour before class starts, you will NOT be added to the class.

      1. For example, if a spot opens up at 4:55pm for the 5:20pm class, and you're at the top of the waitlist, you will NOT be added.

    3. If spots become available less than 1 hour before class, they will be open for ANYONE to book regardless of waitlist position

      1. if you want to get into a class less than 1 hour before it starts, make sure to check the class via the IBX Fitness app ASAP!

    As always, if you cannot make a class (whether you're on the waitlist or not) please cancel your reservation so others can get in, and check your email for waitlist updates! This is the only way to find out about waitlist updatesItem description

    1. Safety. Not giving yourself enough time to choose the right equipment and missing the demo increases the chance of injury

    2. Disruption.Coming in late and rushing to put your stuff down, grab equipment, and get set up is distracting to both the coach and other members

    3. Distracts From Coaching. The coach now has to help the late person, in addition to demoing the workout, leading the warm-up, making sure everyone who was on time has what they need.

    4. Quality. All of this ties to our mission of providing a high-quality class experience, and reducing things (like handling late arrivals) that prevent our staff from giving you the best class possible

    Be Great, Not Late!

    • Any local resident who is over 18 years old.

    • If you are visiting the area, or utilize a third-party app like ClassPass, this trial does NOT apply to you, but you can take advantage of our Drop-In or Punchcard rates!

  • If you can comfortably do 2+ more reps beyond the amount for the workout (ex: workout calls for 6 reps, and you can do 8) then it is time to bump up! If it's time-based, if you can do 5+ seconds past the time for the workout (ex: workout calls for 40 seconds on, and you can comfortably do 45 seconds) then it's time to bump up! Always start by going up 5lb, and then adjust from there

  • We'd love for you to describe it to them in your own words! But if you need some help, you can tell them we're a group strength training studio where each workout is 2 parts strength and 1 part cardio.

    1. Arrive 15 minutes early - if you do not arrive 15 minutes early, you will need to re-schedule your class

    2. Fill out our Liability Waiver ahead of class

    3. Fill out our short intake form (takes 2 minutes) so your coach can best help you in your workout

    4. No Late Participants - We close the doors when class starts - be sure to arrive on time!

    5. Late Cancels (less than 8 hours before class start time) and No Shows will lose their class credit

    6. Wear clothes and shoes you can move/sweat in, and bring a water bottle!

    7. Street parking is free along San Pablo and our cross streets (Portland and Washington). There is also limited bicycle parking.
