Part-Time Coach

Title: Part-Time Coach

Reports To: Head Coach

Responsibilities

  • Coach and guide a group of up to 15 individuals through a workout

  • Provide at least 3 points of both positive and/or constructive feedback to each individual during your class

  • Actively monitoring the class throughout the workout, walking the floor and ensuring everyone is moving correctly, and providing feedback/coaching cues

  • Scale any movement for an individual if needed, whether they need to scale down or up in difficulty/skill level.

  • Lead the setup and takedown of equipment needed for your classes

  • Lead admin duties for your class, including checking clients in, giving studio tours to new clients, selling memberships/packages to people in your class, facilitating point-of-sale payments/refunds, etc.

  • Utilize sales strategies in order to close memberships (training will be provided)

  • Become an ambassador of the brand and post on social media to market for IBX

  • Attend recurring staff meetings once a month, held at a regular time/day

  • Participate in a minimum of 1 class per week.

  • Participate in regular check-ins with the Head Coach

  • Wear an approved Coach uniform when clocked-in

  • Work pop-up/tabling events representing IBX - these can be done in place of or in addition to coaching hours

  • Creates content (story/post/carousel/blog/podcast etc) on their personal social media account that promotes IBX Fitness for every day they coach a class - IBX is tagged and a referral link is provided, content is up to the creator

    • Example: coaching 3 classes across 2 days would mean 2 pieces of content

  • Clients sold that come directly from these referral links will qualify the coach for a commission

Qualifications

  • Able to coach at least 2 Saturday mornings per month from 7am - 10:30am, and coach evenings 5pm-7:30pm Tu/Th each week. Available to sub for other class times as needed. View our current class schedule at https://www.ibxfitness.com/schedule

  • Has a minimum of 6 months of group fitness experience

  • High Energy: you're here to inspire and bring excitement to your classes - you are comfortable controlling a room and keeping people engaged with upbeat, infectious energy

  • Able to foster a culture of support: you’re a caring, warm, welcoming, encouraging, and respectful person who is always trying to lift people up

  • A mindset of Help First: you have the clients’ best interests at heart, and will do anything you can to help them, whether it’s cueing their movements, helping put away their equipment, or anything in between!

  • Love to make people smile: you’re fun and enthusiastic, and not afraid to show it! Regardless of how clients feel when they walk in, you make them happy to be here

  • Appreciate the differences: you appreciate what everyone brings to the table, and love interacting with people from all walks of life

  • Certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid, and will ensure the certifications remain active.

  • Covid-19 Vaccinated

  • Hold a fitness certification (personal trainer, group fitness, strength & conditioning, etc.) from an accredited institution (NASM, ACE, NSCA, ACSM, ISSA, CrossFit, etc.), and will ensure that the certification remains active

What IBX Will Provide

  • $40.25/hour for coaching, $30/hour for meeting participation or working events

  • Sales commission for any new client you sell during your classes that you coach

  • Each class is 1.5 hours - 20 min before class setup, 50 min class, 20 min after class cleanup

  • Starting with coaching 2-6 classes per week, with possibility of growth.

  • Onboarding and training to prepare you how to work at IBX

  • Free membership and on-demand classes + 50% price reduction for spouse/partner/family member

  • Coach apparel will be provided

  • 15% off retail items

Head Coach

Title: Head Coach (Coaching, Client Experience, Social Media)

Reports To: Owner

Responsibilities

  • Own and oversee daily Coaching, Client Experience, and Social Media management of IBX Fitness alongside the General Manager (Sales, Marketing, Operations)

  • Coaching: Coach 65-80% of weekly classes. Current class schedule can be found at https://ibxfitness.com/schedule - In charge of creating all workouts, managing part-time coaches, creating coaching schedule, building out coach training with the owner, managing/maintaining coaching tools

  • Client Experience: in charge of all member communication + management, regular check-ins with all memers, creating + running/delegating a member event every 6 weeks

  • Social Media: manage daily posting on social media, utilizing existing library of content in addition to creating new content. Comfortable with basic video editing for Instagram Reels, and using Canva to create content

  • Can quickly respond to internal staff communication, and thrives in a high-communication environment with a small team.

  • Attend recurring staff meetings

  • Participate in a minimum of 1 class per week.

  • Wear an approved uniform when clocked-in as a coach or while working class hours at the studio

General Manager

Title: General Manager (Sales, Marketing, Operations)

Reports To: Owner

Responsibilities

  • Own and oversee daily Sales, Marketing, and Operational management of IBX Fitness alongside the current General Manager (Client Experience, Coaching, Social Media)

  • Sales: Communicate with leads + prospects and convert them to clients, Manage/Own the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, keep staff up to date with incoming prospects

  • Marketing: creating/organizing events with other local businesses, physical marketing like flyers/cards/signs, weekly email newsletters, keeping our website up to date, blog writing

  • Operations: create systems/processes across all areas of IBX, creating automations/efficiencies where possible, scheduling staff, managing 3rd party integrations (i.e. ClassPass), keep studio supplies in stock, maintain studio upkeep

  • Can quickly respond to internal staff communication, and thrives in a high-communication environment with a small team.

  • Coach minimum of 1 class per week

  • Attend recurring staff meetings

  • Participate in a minimum of 1 class per week.

  • Participate in regular check-ins with the other Head Coach + Owner

  • Wear an approved uniform when clocked-in as a coach or while working class hours at the studio

Qualifications

  • Able to commit to a full-time position - this is a full-focus position requiring 40-50 hours per week

  • 1+ years of personal and/or professional fitness experience is required

  • Proven sales background related to in-person services - fitness-specific sales are not required

  • Experienced in marketing - physical and digital, comfortable with outreach to other businesses and creating events/partnerships within the community

  • Detail-oriented and organized

  • Prior experience in fitness sales is preferred

  • Comfortable with communicating with leads via text, email, and phone calls

  • Able to foster a culture of support: you’re a caring, warm, welcoming, encouraging, and respectful person who is always trying to lift people up
